Sullivan was working 20 hour days, doing what? Time he stood up in front of fans and explained what the hell he is up to, certainly it has nothing to do with all the pledges he made in order to boost season ticket sales.

In the Daves' defence, no official bid was made '64.
But the nature of the bid clause in the contract does raise eyebrows given the Dave's' level of apparent interest in the player and their failure to match Sporting's known buy-out terms.

It occurs to me that this whole episode might have been a scam by Sullivan and the agents knowing that Carvalho's contract apparently says that Sporting have to either pay Carvalho €5m or accept an under bid if they cannot get a bid for the full buy-out amount.
I've never heard of this before but if Sullivan has been used by agents to scam Sporting he and WH could be in a lot of trouble...
